Sick encoder

When the rotary shaft of incremental encoder rotates, it has corresponding pulse output, and its counting starting point is set arbitrarily, which can realize infinite accumulation and measurement of multiple cycles. The rotation of the encoder shaft will output a fixed pulse, and the number of pulses will be determined by the number of lines in the encoder grating. When the resolution needs to be improved, the A and B signals with 90 degree phase difference can be used to double the frequency or replace the high resolution encoder.

Absolute encoder CD has many optical channel lines, each line in turn 2, 4, 8, 16 lines... Arrangement, in this way, at each position of the encoder, by reading the pass and dark of each line, a unique set of binary codes (Gray codes) from the zeroth power of 2 to the N-1 power of 2 is obtained, which is called n-bit absolute encoder. This kind of encoder is determined by the mechanical position of the photoelectric code disc, and it is not affected by power failure and interference. The absolute encoder is unique in every position determined by the mechanical position. It does not need to memorize, find reference points, and count all the time. It needs to know the position whenever it needs to, and read its position whenever it needs to. In this way, the anti-interference characteristics of the encoder and the reliability of the data are greatly improved.
